Layered piano performances, field recordings

A single piano motif is recorded repeatedly over the course of one month. Each iteration captures the ambient conditions of its specific recording moment.

These performances are layered to form a composite texture. Field recordings are integrated into the accumulated structure.

The work examines how repetition across time produces variation through context. The motif exists simultaneously as a temporal collage of discrete performances and as a perceptually unified structure when heard in aggregate.
